  • LPG pipework survey

    Friday, June 19th, 2009

HSE has begun gathering information from dutyholders who store LPG about the integrity of pipework associated with their installation. Details of what is being asked and why, can be found on the HSE website.

    http://www.hse.gov.uk/gas/lpg.htm

Some of the establishments being contacted will be the enforcement responsibility of Local Authorities (LAs). For the time being this is simply an information gathering exercise being undertaken with the cooperation of UKLPG. At this stage no action is required of LAs. HSE will coordinate the information gathered. Where it appears further action is necessary, HSE will contact you again.

Current advice relating to the integrity of buried pipework can be found in OC 286/105.
