This contains information on premises and individual contained uses, the purpose of individual contained uses and the characteristics of the GMOs involved.

L29 – The Genetically Modified Organisms Regulations 2014: Guidance on Regulations

The Genetically Modified Organisms (Contained Use) Regulations 2014 came into force on 1 October 2014. Changes have been made to the fifth edition of L29 to reflect the legislative changes to the 2014 Regulations, to simplify and clarify the text and to take account of advances in technology.

The 2014 Regulations will consolidate and revoke the 2000 regulations and its three sets of amending regulations (2002, 2005 and 2010).
