Fatal injuries report 2005/06 and HSE’s priorities for farming
Figures published by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in its annual report, ‘Fatal injuries in farming, forestry and horticulture 2005/06′ show that 45 people were killed as a result of farming and other agriculture-related activities in 2005/06.

Construction deaths down to a record low in 2005/06 - E085:06
Statistics released today by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) show the total number of fatal injuries to workers in construction during 2005/06 was 59 (provisional), a fall from the final figure of 69 in 2004/05. This is the lowest figure on record.

In 2005/2006 212 people were fatally injured, a reduction from 223 in 2004/2005. The rate is also the lowest on record, at a rate of 0.71 fatalities per 100,000 workers.
