It applies to establishments consisting of a single depleted reservoir, import and export process plant and interconnecting pipework (i.e. the pipeline(s) within the COMAH establishment that connect the depleted reservoir and the process plant).

If you manage an LPG installation, you should soon receive a letter from your LPG supplier asking you to complete a short questionnaire about your pipework.

The aim of the report was to produce a case study to illustrate the sequence of events and the underlying factors of the incident, as well as to communicate the lessons that can be learned for risk management.
