HSE prosecuted Veetee Rice Ltd of Medway City Estate in Rochester, Kent. The company was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court today.

This follows the sentencing on Friday (25 September) of Delico Ltd at Aylesbury Crown Court. The company was prosecuted after a cleaner was fatally injured while cleaning a blending machine at its meat processing plant in Milton Keynes.

All bakeries, irrespective of size, are advised to check that the explosion relief panels on their ovens are free to operate properly without impediment or obstruction.
