Motor Vehicle Repair safety and health awareness day, 31st August 2006
During 2005/06 12 to 14 SHADs concentrating on controlling the risks during spraying isocyanate paints in bodyshops will be held at different locations around the counrty. Local body repair workshops will be expected to attend. The aim is to reduce exposures to isocyantes, with the consequent reduction in occupational asthma.

In 2000 the Health and Safety Commission (HSC) published a long-term (10-year) occupational health strategy for Great Britain. The strategy sets an ambitious target for occupational asthma (OA) of a reduction of 30% in newly incident cases by 2010.
