Biocidal Products Directive – ‘Essential use’ derogation application for copper in legionella control: Public consultation launched

HSE submitted an ‘essential use derogation’ to the European Commission to allow for the continued use of copper in legionella control systems within the UK. The Commission has now made the application available for the 60-day commenting period, which ends on 20 April 2013.
