Company and director fined after worker falls to death from statue

A neon-sign manufacturer and its director have been fined a total of £12,000 after a worker was killed when he fell from the city’s Albert Memorial statue.

HSE prosecuted Taylor Electronics (Manchester) Ltd and its Wigan-based director, John Taylor, following the incident.
