HSE granted consent to the licensee of Wylfa Nuclear Power Station, Magnox North Ltd, to carry out a decommissioning project under the regulations on 25th March 2009.
HSE has published a report ‘The decision on the application to carry out a decommissioning project at Wylfa Nuclear Power Station under the Nuclear Reactors (Environmental Impact for Decommissioning) Regulations 1999) (as amended)’ which describes the reasons and considerations for HSE’s decision.
