Inspectors visited 24 contractors engaged on refurbishment sites in the city and served four prohibition notices, effectively stopping work due to concerns about working at height and electrical issues.

This follows an incident where HGV driver Nigel Sargeant, age 46, of Boston fell 15 feet from his trailer and suffered fatal head injuries.

The information was also provided to the Department for Communities and Local Government in England, the Welsh Assembly Government, and the Scottish Government.
