This information sheet provides guidance on when a desk-top risk assessment may be undertaken in lieu of a detailed geotechnical site investigation and it also details the requirements for such an assessment.

The proposed amendments to the (HSIER) would allow HSE to approve and publish new posters and leaflets which do not require the addition or updating of information by businesses displaying them.  This will reduce the administrative burden on employers, whilst maintaining or improving employees’ access to useful information.
