Safer Homes Week is held by Age Concern in association with National Grid and runs from 22 to 26 October. It aims to raise awareness about home safety issues through education and practical assistance to older people to reduce unsafe practices. The main areas covered are gas safety, home security, energy efficiency and accidents and hazards.
