On 27 July 2007, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) launched the competition for a new gas registration scheme (the new scheme) there will be an announcement in the Official Journal of the European Union inviting expressions of interest to run it. HSE is seeking innovative proposals for delivering the new scheme and delivering benefits for gas consumers and gas installers.
The successful bidder will be announced early in 2008 and it will be operational by the end of July 2008.
