Health and Safety Executive (HSE) was designated as Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) from 1st April 2007 and Tourism Quality Services Ltd (TQS), has been contacted as the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS) to provide most of the administrative and inspection functions on behalf of HSE.
Although much of the guidance has stood the test of time and is still relevant today, a number of changes have been made and this second edition reflects the new position.
