Glass recycling

Noise associated with the kerbside collection of recyclable glass. Measurements were made under simulated real conditions. Controlled conditions were used to eliminate variables and determine if the proposed noise control measures were effective or otherwise. Measurements were made for two collection trough conditions, lined and unlined and for three methods of filling the trough using crates of glass bottles: quick tipping, slow tipping and bottle-by-bottle (simulated sorting).
