Avian influenza inspectors guidance

This document provides background briefing on the current avian influenza threat and sets out the precautions to be observed by HSE staff who have to visit poultry undertakings. The documents also  contains both operational and personal health and safety precautions for now and in the event of an outbreak of avian influenza being declared in the UK. It also sets out HSE’s role under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
