New nuclear reactors

Prior to formal issue of Nuclear Installations Inspectorate’s (NII) guidance it is essential that interactions with prospective new build vendors and licensees are undertaken in accordance with the set of guidelines provided below to ensure that NII provides and is seen to provide consistent, fair and unbiased advice/guidance. NII’s interactions with potential builders and licensees should be as transparent as possible to ensure that a balanced and impartial approach is being taken at the start of the pre-licensing process.
