On 1 October 2006 two new pieces of legislation came into force - the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) and the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 (FSA). These instruments consolidate the provisions on general fire safety precautions (GFP) in several pieces of legislation, which are now revoked.
